HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE APP?

The vida app is available for download from either the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store or Huawei App Gallery.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Once you have downloaded the app, follow the registration process. Add your credit card to make paying & earning even easier.

HOW DO I ADD A CREDIT CARD?

As a first time user, you will be prompted with a message “You don’t have a card linked. Would you like to link one now”? Select OK/ Okay. Hold the front of the card displaying your card number and expiry date in front of your phone to scan. If scanning doesn’t work you can manually enter your card details. Once all details have been added confirm and save by entering your 4 digit PIN.

WHAT IF I HAVE FORGOTTEN MY PIN?

On the main navigation, clikck on “MORE”, then select “SETTINGS”, then “UPDATE PIN” & followed by “FORGOT PIN” to proceed to change your pin. For your safety, you will be asked to re-link your credit card details and following this verify with a new PIN and enter an OTP number.

HOW DO I ORDER AHEAD?

On the home screen, select “ORDER AHEAD”. Then choose the store you want to collect from. Follow the on screen ordering process and proceed to checkout to confirm your order and collection time.

WHAT IS THE CLOSEST STORE TO ME?

The closest stores to you will appear in order of nearest to furthest.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY ORDER WAS SUCCESSFULLY PLACED?

Once the store has accepted your order, it will show “ORDER CONFIRMED” on screen.

HOW DO I SEE WHAT ORDERS I HAVE PLACED?

You can see your current and past orders on the “ORDER HISTORY” page, which you can find on the main navigation.

CAN I HAVE MY ORDER DELIVERED TO ME?

Not yet. We’ll let you know when this is up & running.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS CAN I USE?

You can either load your credit card to pay & earn simultaneously, or you can pay using your card or cash in-store and just earn loyalty using the app. You can also use your accumulated loyalty to pay.

CAN I PAY WITH CASH ON COLLECTION OF MY ORDER?

All order ahead orders need to be placed using a linked credit card.

HOW DO I GET A REFUND ON A FAILED TRANSACTION?

If your transaction fails, our customer support team will contact you shortly thereafter. If you would like a refund, they will assist you and the normal bank refund process & timeline applies.

HOW DO I REDEEM A VOUCHER ON THE APP?

Vouchers are setup to auto-redeem, so as long as you have a participating product or offer in your order, your voucher will be used, even if you didn’t know you had one.

HOW CAN I SEND VOUCHERS TO FRIENDS & FAMILY?

On the main navigation, select “#VIDALOVE”. Choose the amount you want to send by tapping the plus or minus buttons and then pick the friend you want to send to. If you friend doesn’t have the vida app, they’ll receive the voucher in SMS.

HOW DO I CHECK MY LOYALTY BALANCE?

Your loyalty balance can be seen on your the home screen once you have logged in.

DOES IT COST ME MORE TO PAY WITH THE VIDA APP?

No there are no extra charges, it is the same as if you paid in store using your credit card, except you get 5% back on all transactions.

CAN I LINK MY LOYALTY CARD TO THE APP AND MIGRATE THE LOYALTY POINTS I HAVE GAINED ONTO THE APP?

Loyalty card points cannot be transferred to the app. We recommend using up the points you have accumulated on your loyalty card and then start using the app to accumulate points going forward. The great thing about the app is that you can now see and manage your loyalty points on your phone.

WHY DO I NOT RECEIVE THE OTP NOTIFICATION AFTER DOWNLOADING THE APP?

OTP notification issues are usually caused by network connection issues. Please allow for a few minutes to send. If after 15-20 minutes you have still not received the OTP notification then please email your details and phone number to appsupport@caffe.co.za and one of our app support team will be able to assist.

HOW DO I KNOW MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION IS SAFE?

Your card details are encrypted on your mobile device and stored on your phone, at no point are they saved on an external server. Thus you alone have access to your card details and if you forget your pin or your phone gets stolen you will need to add a new pin and re-link your credit card details.

HOW MUCH LOYALTY DO I EARN WHEN TRANSACTING ON THE APP?

You get 5% back on all transactions.

HOW DO I PAY WITH MY ACCUMULATED LOYALTY BALANCE?

On the home screen, select “PAY & EARN” and then choose “LOYALTY”. You can use your accumulated loyalty to pay a portion of your total bill.
