Olà ButtaNutt Oat Milk!

We have launched ButtaNutt oat milk in-stores nationwide - FREE until 31 May 2022

Always innovating within the coffee space, we have been at the forefront amongst national coffee chains with the introduction of dairy milk alternatives since 2009. With an ongoing vida e mundo (life and the world) journey and our ‘Let’s be better together’ approach in all that they do, we are on a constant journey of sustainability. We are committed to sourcing products that reduce the impact on the environment, that are sustainable and locally manufactured.

With oat milk fast becoming the most popular plant-based milk alternative, we have listened to their customers and are now offering a new oat milk alternative brand, ButtaNutt. ButtaNutt is a proudly South African nut butter producer that handcrafts a series of authentic nut spreads using local & natural ingredients. Their alternative milks, spreads and snacks are made with a minimalist philosophy, free from any added sugars, preservatives, stabilizers or oils. This product is delightfully delicious and a creamy South African oat milk.

“We’re thrilled at the collaboration with vida, to make dairy-alternative drinks more accessible, and hope that many new clients will experience a dairy-free flat white for the first time. ButtaNutt is proudly local, and we appreciate vida for supporting local brands pursuing healthy, delicious products.” Antoine van Heerden, Founder and CEO of ButtaNutt.

Not only is oat milk delicious in taste, it has many health benefits. It is vegan, gluten-free as well as low in calories per serving. Over and above the health claims, ButtaNutt oat milk is also locally manufactured, emits 80% less greenhouse gasses, uses 60% less energy and takes 10 times less water to produce than cow’s milk. This makes it the more sustainable plant-based milk alternative on the market tying in with our vida e mundo (life & the world) sustainability journey.

Made with simple ingredients, this malty milk is sure to become a daily staple. Enjoy in soothing golden lattes or velvety flat whites. Ingredients: Water, gluten-free oats (8%), canola oil, salt, calcium carbonate, tricalcium citrate, acidity regulator (potassium citrate).

To promote this new product, you can now trial and taste the new milk alternative for FREE from 1 February 2022 – 31 May 2022 at any vida e caffè nationwide.

“We are extremely proud and excited to be able to offer a milk alternative that is good for the environment, locally manufactured and has great health benefits to our customers.” Darren Levy, CEO vida e caffè.

To add to the excitement, for every ButtaNutt oat milk beverage sold in the month of February, we will donate a percentage of sales to our food surplus partner, SA Harvest. We are also offering a discounted in-app only promotion on the retail 1L ButtaNutt oat milk for only R32.00 in February and March 2022.
