WE TOOK HOME THE READER’S CHOICE FAVOURITE FRANCHISE AWARD IN THE COFFEE MAGAZINE AWARDS 2020.
Congratulations to all our fellow nominees and winners of the Coffee Magazine Awards 2020.
South Africa’s dedicated coffee culture magazine, Coffee Magazine, digitally hosted this year’s highly anticipated Coffee Magazine Awards 2020 – in association with Alpro, BWT, Red Espresso, Moreflavour and FNB this month. The awards were initiated in 2018 to bring South African coffee professionals together while recognising and celebrating the achievements of South Africa’s coffee stars within the industry.
“The Coffee Magazine Awards is only in it’s third year, and in this time we’ve quickly realised that there is a massive importance to recognising and celebrating excellence within our sector of the economy. Coffee is such an important part of so many people’s lives, not just from a beverage point of view, but as a community and as a lifestyle. It has also been very important for us to ensure that ownership of the awards belongs to the coffee community – we just guide it along. All of the nominees and final votes came from more than 50 of the most respected people in coffee, and that is what makes it significant.” Iain Evans, Publisher, Coffee Magazine.
Thousands of nominations poured in from across the country for Coffee Magazine Reader’s favourite coffee spaces and people. This aspect of the Awards is to activate your loyal regulars into action, supporting their locals.
“The Reader’s Choice awards are unique in that it is literally our loyal and passionate readers who decide the nominees and winners here. People take their coffee choices seriously, and for vida e to win the Favourite Franchise Award means that over the past year the staff, baristas, operations and management teams have done their jobs well enough to swing the votes away from some other very significant competitors. To all of them we say: ” Parabéns!”
“Congrats to all the other nominees and winners – we are so proud to be walking this coffee journey with you. And obrigado to our entire Team for always going the extra mile by delivering far more than a great caffè.” Darren Levy, CEO, vida e caffè.
